Officers had developed information regarding known individuals at that location that had reportedly been involved in illegal drug activity.
During the search officers located and seized suspected methamphetamine, pills identified as controlled substances and suspected drug paraphernalia. The evidence seized will be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further analysis.
Two subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding by Nevada Police. The two subjects were identified as follows:
Jason Keith, age 34 of Nevada
Kayla Fowler, age 26 of El Dorado Springs
On July 19, 2018, the following charges were filed against Jason Keith through the Vernon County Associate Court:
Possession of a Controlled Substance - Class D Felony
Keith is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $7,500 cash only bond.
On July 19, 2018 the following charges were filed against Kayla Fowler through the Vernon County Associate Court:
Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Class C Felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance - Class D Felony
Fowler is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 cash only bond.
