Vernon County Detectives locate suspect driving stolen lawn mower

Two people have been arrested after detectives with the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office recovered stolen property on Monday from a residence on Militia road, north of Nevada, Mo. 

According to officials, detectives were following up on a lead of a stolen lawn mower when they located the suspect operating the lawn mower believed to be stolen.

Sheriff Jason Mosher said the suspects have been identified as Brenton T Handly, 28 of Nevada, and Michael C Hallam, 29 also of Nevada.

Handly has been charged with: Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle. His bond has been set at $10,000. Hallam has been charged with: Receiving Stolen Property, with a bond of $7,500
