Mary Sievers, 96, Kansas City, Kansas died Sunday, June 28, 2015 in Garnett, Kansas. Private graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.

Harrisonville Police Ordinance Regarding Fireworks

We have received several inquiries on the city ordinance regarding the use of fireworks within the city limits. It is referenced below.
- Section 205.220 Ord. No. 3235 §1, 8-5-2013
No person shall discharge any fireworks within the corporate limits of
the City without a permit except during the period of July 1 to July 4.
No fireworks shall be discharged during this period except between the
hours of 7:00 A.M. and 10:00 P.M. on July 1 through July 3 and 7:00 A.M.
to 12:00 Midnight on July 4.

Motorcycle accident in Garden City, Missouri
The Garden City Police Department responded to a single vehicle motorcycle accident on 600 block of 5th Street last night.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported by Garden City EMS to Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri with non life threatening injuries.

I-49 Nevada Speedway Firecracker 40

We are expecting a great field of cars for this event and there will be a huge firework show during intermission!
New start times this weekend. Gates will still open at 4:30pm, Hot Laps
have been moved to 7:00pm, and Racing will be underway at 7:45pm.
Admission Prices will be $15 for Adults, and $5 for Kids ages 6-12. Kids ages 0-5 will receive Free admission.
Once again we hope to see everyone this Saturday July 4th for one of the biggest events of the season at I-49 Nevada Speedway!!

Bates County Sheriffs Office: Free CCW Classes
The Bates County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a free CCW Class for Bates County Residents on July 11, 2015. The class starts at 8 a.m. and lasts for 8 hours.
