Time change coming this weekend
For the record, we'll 'Spring forward' again on March 8, 2026.
Hands up! In a good way
“Hand Up” casseroles will be put together for individuals or families that are worried about the present status of the government shutdown. We are cooking for the county; we will serve as many as we can.
We can not change the world for our neighbors, but we can share some love with each other. The county has come together to donate goods and money to help each other out.
We will start putting casseroles together at 10 AM and will start handing them out at 1PM. If you are in need or know of someone in need, please come get a homemade casserole. If you need assistance in getting the food to you, please let us know.
This is new territory for us, so we are just “winging” this!
We will make food until we run out of ingredients and will hand out them out until we run out. Call or Text DeAnna 816-258-1756 or look her up on Facebook under DeAnna Johnston Hutton.
We are working to unite our county and let everyone know we are all neighbors.
Pick up casseroles beginning at 1PM at the Amsterdam Comm unity Building, 1st come 1st serve
Again, if you need assistance, please reach out and we will make every attempt to assist you. But please remember that we are a volunteer group and we may not have the manpower to do a lot of deliveries
Disclaimer: This is about people, not politics.
