Nevada Police Arrest Suspect on Child Pornography Case

The Nevada Police Department has concluded an investigation in reference to a suspect in possession of child pornography. On July 7, 2015, Nevada Police Detectives partnered with law enforcement personnel in Topeka, Kansas about a male subject headed to Nevada from Branson, Missouri in order to meet up with a female.

Kansas law enforcement authorities reported that they were investigating an abuse case involving a 6 year old child. A suspect was headed to Nevada who planned to meet those involved in the child abuse case for an unlawful purpose. It was believed that the suspect may be in possession of child porn photos in violation of the law. 

Kansas authorities provided suspect information and description. Nevada Detective personnel established a surveillance and observed the suspect vehicle drive into the city limits, and park at business located in 2400 block of E. Austin Blvd.

Nevada Police made contact with the male suspect and upon further investigation, discovered that the male suspect had in fact obtained images of the previous sexual assault. The suspect was also in possession of what is believed to be other child pornography images. No children were abused in this local investigation and subsequent arrest.

The Branson, Missouri resident was identified as, 44 year old, Randy White. Nevada Police arrested the suspect and transported him to the Vernon County Jail. An arrest warrant was issued by the

Vernon County Associate Circuit Court on the following charge:
Promoting Child Pornography, 1st Degree, a B Felony. White’s bond was set at $50,000 cash only.
Nevada Police are working with the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force, to prepare photographic evidence for trial.
