On July 8, a St.
Clair County deputy arrested Jerry Eaton, 43, Osceola, on a St. Clair
County warrant charging him with a class C felony of removal of
manufacturer's number from a motor vehicle. Bond is set at $10,000 cash
or surety. The charge stems from an incident on May 8 when a St. Clair
County deputy was attempting to locate and recover a possible stolen
license plate that was on Eaton's black 1989 Chevrolet pickup truck. A
license plate on the front of the truck checked back as stolen from
Henry County. While checking the VIN number on the dash of the truck,

the dash.
