Updated Obituary - Dale Friederich


Mr. Dale Friederich, 82 of Butler, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Thursday, January 14, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 400 West Nursery St. in Butler with Monsignor Bradley S. Offutt officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Bates County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Messages of condolence for the family may be left at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com.

Dale Quentin Friederich was born on November 27, 1933 in rural Erie, Kansas and graduated from Erie High School in 1952. He met Patricia Jean Hilton in 1950 and they married in 1953, 10 days before he deployed to Korea for a year-long tour with the Army. He remained in the Army for three years then he and his family returned to Kansas where he earned an Associates Degree from Neosho County Community College.

He and his family moved to Butler in 1964 when he began working as a route salesman for Wonder Bread & Hostess Cakes and in 1995 retired after 30 years with the company. During his retirement he enjoyed fishing, watching sports and spending time with his family. He will be infinitely missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Friederich is survived by his wife Patricia Hilton Friederich, sister, Francie Seidl of Wichita, Kansas, and children Steven Friederich and wife Bonnie of O’Fallon, MO., Jeff Friederich and wife Barbara of Raytown, MO., Alecia Lawhorn and husband Andre’ of Mandeville, LA., Matt Friederich of Butler, MO., Anna Renae Friederich-Maggard and David Maggard of Lansing, KS., and grandchildren Cory Coates, Richard Friederich, James Friederich, Tricia Friederich-Cook, Tyler Friederich, and Ely and Aubrey Maggard and great grandchildren Faith Coates, Ally Cook, and Hope and Daniel Morris.

He was preceded in death by his parents Reinald and Christina Friederich, sisters Ellen Keenan, Irene McDonald, Alice (Sister Aloysia) Friederich, Virginia Lee Butts, Pauline Brigman, and brothers Raymond Friederich and John Friederich.
