Early morning storm causes power outages and heavy damage in Butler

A powerful summer thunderstorm struck Bates County shortly before 7 am this morning packing a heavy punch of wind and rain. 

Several homes on the North side of Butler are still without power at this time. 

The roof of Midwest Lumber was torn off during this storm as well as a trailer holding Santa's Work Shop was flipped over on West Lee Street.

Numerous trees are down in the area, if you must travel please do it with caution.We are also hearing that several in Adrian are without power at this time as well.
