Dorothy May Lee, 88, Cleveland, Missouri, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4 at the church with Rosary service at 5:30. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Dorothy was born January 5, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph Thomas and Margaret Cecilia (Diibon) Allin. She was a 1946 graduate of Central High School in Kansas City. She married Willis Lester Lee on February 3, 1949 in Kansas City. They moved to Freeman in 1969.

Dorothy had worked as a bookkeeper for Kraft Foods in Kansas City for two years and for Lee Concrete Products for four years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville and the Altar Society. She was a member of Freeman Community Club and served as president of Cass Midway PTA.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willis on March 5, 2013, two brothers, Joseph Allin and John Allin, two sisters, Ann Hart and Margaret Jakobe, and an infant granddaughter, Abby Lyon. She is survived by four children, Gary Lee (Robin), Harrisonville, Missouri, Shauna Lyon (Mike), Cleveland, Missouri, Greg Lee (Karen), Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Dan Lee (Brenda), Cleveland; two brothers, George Allin (Mary), Wichita, Kansas and Jim Allin, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; two sisters, Catherine Wessing, Kansas City, Missouri and Jean Davidson (Fred), Springfield, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
