Melissa Kay Jones-Brown, 40, Warrensburg, MO, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, November 17, 2016. She was born on June 30, 1976 in Kansas City, MO to Larry Dean Jones and Linda Kay Jones.
Melissa was born in Kansas City and moved to Warrensburg to raise her children in the country. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her father, Larry Jones, Warrensburg; two brothers, Michael Jones, Buffalo, MO and Jeffery Jones, Independence, MO; one sister, Amanda Jones, Warrensburg; two sons, Levi Brown and Krysta Stone, Columbia, MO, and Sheldon Brown and Tori Akers, North Kansas City, MO; four daughters, Graycee Brown, Laycee Brown, Acelynn (Acy) Yeager and Aleiyah (Aly) Yeager all of Warrensburg; one grandson, Duke Brown, North Kansas City; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Kay Jones.
