Man asleep in car leads to arrest in Bates County

On 5/23/2017 a Bates County Deputy responded to county road 1501 approximately a mile and a half north of AA highway in reference to a subject in a car that appeared to be asleep.

Once on scene the deputy made contact with the subject in the car identified as Daniel Peel DOB 04-21-1959 of Adrian. 

Daniel Peel appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. 

Upon further investigation the Bates County deputy received information from dispatch that the subject had warrants.

Daniel Peel was arrested on two outstanding Bates County traffic warrants.
