I-49 shut down after Two vehicle accident

The Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies, Rich Hill Fire Department and Bates County EMS is on scene of a two vehicle accident on I-49 at Mile Marker 117 which is South of Rich Hill. The accident is said to be between a semi truck and a passenger car.

The interstate on the Southbound side is being shut down at Rich Hill at this time so Life Flight can land on scene. We are unsure how long the highway will be shut down but please find a alternate route.
