Job Opening in Nevada

The City of Nevada Police Department is currently accepting applications for the full time position of Police Records Clerk. 

The starting wage for this position is $24,486 per year. This position includes full benefits such as retirement, health, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as paid holidays, vacation and sick leave.

Eligible applicants must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, be at least 18 years of age and successfully pass a background investigation. Experience in recording keeping and clerical work is preferred.

Essential duties of this position include:
Answer telephones and assist visitors
Processes record requests
Processing police records and reports
Filing records and reports of accidents, incidents and arrests
Prepares letters, reports and other materials as needed
Operates standard office equipment and moves files and other office materials
Prepares records annually for microfilming
Restock office supplies
Monitor building security camera system
Monitor prisoners in temporary holding facility
This is a full time position that is primarily overnight hours as well as fill-in hours to cover other staff positions on an “as-needed” basis.
