From the city of Harrisonville

Milling work will be getting underway on selected city streets this morning as part of the city’s annual asphalt overlay program.

Employees of Advanced Asphalt, Inc. will focus their milling efforts on the following streets over the next few days.

 Beth Blvd – entire length
 Outlook Drive -- South Street to Mission
 Wren Avenue – entire length
 Crane Street– Twin Oaks to Meadowlark Drive
 Crane Street – Meadowlark Drive to Pheasant Street
 Silver Maple -- Younger Dr. to 611 Silver Maple
 Younger Drive -- Elm Street to Silver Maple
 Matt Street -- Meghan Drive to Andrea Lane

Paving will start Tuesday, following the same order. All work is dependent on favorable weather conditions.
Street Superintendent said the streets will be closed to traffic for the work. Advanced Asphalt has also asked that cars be off the street during the milling and overlay process.

Roads should re-open within about 2 hours after the asphalt has compacted and cooled somewhat. Trash collection should not be affected by the street work.
