Nebraska truck driver seriously injured in Bates County rollover accident

On 8/5/17 around 2:40am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle semi truck rollover accident  on I-49 Southbound at Mile Marker 123.6 which is North of Rich Hill.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the a says the accident occurred when the 2003 Kenworth driven by 43 year old Paul Q. Ward of Fairbury, Nebraska struck a construction sign in a work zone causing the vehicle to travel of the right side of the roadway, strike a guardrail and overturn.

Mr. Ward sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.

The truck was totaled and is currently being removed from J's Southland Tow.
