Two injured in Vernon County rollover accident

On 8/14/18 around 2:55am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Vernon County along with Vernon County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle rollover accident Earhart Road around 2 miles west of Stotesbury, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2001 Ford Explorer driven by 35 year old Jeremy D. Shelton of Hume, Missouri failed to negotiate a sharp curve, left the road and overturned.

Mr. Shelton sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Ft. Scott, Kansas.

A passenger in the vehicle 24 year old Teaira N. Yackle of Erie, Kansas sustained minor injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Ft. Scott, Kansas.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by TCB Tow of Nevada, Missouri.
