4 year old boy ran over by truck in rural Appleton City

On 2/16/19 around 1:15pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County responded to a address on NW CR 1401 around 4 miles south of Appleton City, Missouri in reports of a 4 year old boy being ran over by a vehicle.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1986 Chevrolet 2500 truck driven by 31 year old Jeremiah T. Heiserman of Appleton City was backing up and felt the truck run over something, When Mr. Heiserman exited his vehicle he found that he'd ran over his 4 year old son Emmitt Heiserman.

Emmitt Heiserman sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by air ambulance to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
