Hume Community News 2.19.19

The community of Hume wishes to extend their sympathy to the family of Kaycee Hawks Sisseck of Nevada. Kaycee was well known in the Hume/Metz area. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. We pray for peace and comfort for her family and friends.

The County-Line 4-H is holding a food drive to benefit the Hume Alliance Ministry. Donations will be accepted February 18 to March 9 at the Hume School, Citizens Bank in Hume, Sister’s & Friends and Hume Area Churches. Requested items are canned meats (tuna & chicken) canned fruits and boxed macaroni and cheese.

This is an awesome opportunity to help out two organizations. The 4-H does an awesome job in helping out our community. God continues to open doors for the Food Pantry in many different ways.

There will be the annual Spaghetti feed coming up in April for the Hume Alliance Ministry. Watch for the date.

The Annual Sweetheart Dinner at the Hume United Methodist Church was held last Sunday night, February 17. The Methodist Men did a great job with the meal. The chicken was catered by Sister’s & Friends. Several stayed and enjoyed the beautiful singing by the “Dirks Family”. It was a wonderful blessing by a very talented family.
