Butler Bears Track Team XRC Champs

Last night the Butler Bears traveled to Barstow for our Conference track meet. It was a perfect day for track and field. With sickness and injury hitting us very hard yesterday I had to ask that the youngers step up in big big roles. Every person that competed last night did just that. As we waited huddled up at mid field the boys finally got the result we have been working for for a long time. Your Butler boys placed an overall 1st place with team total of 162.5 points. This was a great opportunity for all involved and contribute to not only themselves but work together for a true goal of TEAM standings. The XRC places the top 8 in each event. As you can tell, there are only a couple of 1st place finishers but every kid who went last night earned their team points. This is a great example of how our athletes put their team first in front of themselves. I am super proud of both Boys and Girls teams in the way the represented our school district last night. Our next track meet is Saturday May 9th. This is our District track meet where the top 4 in each event will advance on to Sectionals. We will lose some of our team this weekend. Make sure you congratulate these kids in a great season. Super proud of them.
