Here is everything you need to know about advertising with
Mid America Live and the News-Shopper paper
OUR GOAL is to get your ad in front of everyone in the region and that means putting it on the Mid America Live website, in the News-Shopper newspaper and through every social media avenue possible. That said, through all these outlets we reach more people every week than anyone else in a 7 county area- we can demonstrate that upwards of 100,000 pairs of eyes see our media each week and if your ad is included, you'll get the most coverage possible.
First, some stats
Facebook: The graphic here shows who we primarily reach
Primarily on the Missouri side (Cass, Bates, Vernon, Henry, St. Clair, along with some Johnson and Jackson counties) and on the Kansas side (Miami, Linn and some Bourbon counties) with Facebook alone we draw traffic (i.e.'reach') very close to 35,000 times each week.
Mid America Live website: An official Google page hit counter on the page indicates we consistently get 75,000 to 90,000 hits per week on the website alone.
X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and Youtube: We are still compiling the numbers, however as of now combined traffic from these add a couple thousand hits per week. Some of our social media outlets are new and will grow in time; we will update and add these stats in the near future.
Videos: We recently introduced short videos which are very popular in the world of social media. As of now, these daily 'Reels' and 'Shorts' are drawing anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000 views per video. We also produce videos for breaking news such as fires and dangerous weather- those videos often get more than 10,000 alone.
