Around 9:40 a.m. this morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County responded to a two vehicle accident involving a ATV. The location of this accident was NE County Road 9003 just South of County Road NE 4004 in rural Bates County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as both vehicles were Northbound on NE 9003 when a 2000 Chevrolet Impala driven by 20 year old Zeth W. Hiser of Adrian, Missouri overtook and struck the 2007 Kawasaki ATV driven by 80 year old Leo A. Dennison of Adrian, Missouri. The ATV was forced off the roadway and Mr. Dennison was ejected from the bike.
Mr. Dennison sustained minor injuries in this accident and will seek medical treatment as needed.
