The subject then entered the vehicle and drove away. A friend of the victim followed the SUV to a different residence on County Road 10504. Two Deputies responded to that location where the SUV was parked. They made contact with Bryan Ferrel (DOB 8/3/1980) and Ashley Burrous (DOB 12/14/1984).

They gave Deputies consent to search the white SUV. Deputies located two laptops and chargers that were stolen from the residence on BB highway. There was also a prescription bottle found that had the victim’s name on the bottle.

Ferrel and Burrous were both taken into custody. A Deputy searched Ferrel’s person and located a syringe in his pocket as well as a large amount of jewelry. The syringe field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Ferrel and Burrous were transported to the Bates County Jail. They were both charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 grams or less of Marijuana. Their bond was set at $10,000.00 cash or surety. More charges are expected to be filed for burglary.
