On 07/07/16 Butler Officers were dispatched to Casey’s on Orange street in reference to a man sleeping by the dumpsters. Upon arrival Officers contacted a white male, known to them as 31-Year-old Derek K Lile, passed out on the sidewalk next to the dumpster. Officers then located a large amount of Methamphetamine on his person and over $7,000 dollars in cash. Lile was transported to the Bates County jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
Pending charges include Possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and welfare fraud.
