Bates County Republicans meet August 25th

The Bates County Republicans met Thursday, August 25 for dinner at the Flaming Lantern. President Felix Salazar called the meeting to order and Greg Mullinax gave a prayer.

The silent auction then opened to benefit local our local candidates. Many great items were present including a gift card to Frontier Justice, presidential plates, an air compressor, farm fresh eggs, an elephant collection, and even jewelry.

Following dinner, candidates for election present spoke. Greg Mullinax addressed the crowd first, followed by Jimmy Bates speaking for Sen. Ed Emery. Salazar announced that Trump signs will be available for Bates County shortly, and our headquarters location will be announced shortly as well. Several of our local candidates sent their regrets as they were attending the Osage Valley annual meeting that evening as well, to include Rep. Patricia Pike and Rep. Jack Bondon.

The winners of the silent auction were announced and Salazar led the closing prayer. The next meeting of the Bates County Republicans will be Thursday, September 29, 6 PM. Due to the ever larger crowds now attending these meetings, the location has been changed to the Bates County Museum. All interested Republicans are welcome and invited to attend.
