Domestic in Lowry City leads to drug arrest

On July 31, David Eaton Jr., 42, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony domestic assault-second degree, class C felony possession of a controlled substance, and class D felony resisting arrest for a felony. Bond is set at $30,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from an incident the previous day when deputies responded to a domestic assault in progress at a residence on South Tower Street, Lowry City. Eaton allegedly choked a female on the front porch of the residence. 


Upon arrival of the deputies, Eaton took off running; he was apprehended a short time later lying underneath a truck parked in the area. 

Several items were located under the truck where Eaton was hiding. Items include a plastic bag containing approximately 1.2 grams of a crystal substance which later field tested positive for methamphetamine, $180 cash, a current fishing license, debit card, insurance card, and two Missouri operator's licenses.
