Famous Missourian Induction Ceremony Scheduled for Robert Heinlein

Jefferson City: The Hall of Famous Missourians will soon add a new inductee, science fiction author, Robert Heinlein. A renown writer, Robert Heinlein was born in Butler, Missouri and became nationally known as the “Dean of Science Fiction Writers”. His birthplace and the Robert A. and Virginia Library Addition are featured in Butler. 

The induction program will be held on Tuesday, August 23 at 10:30 a.m. in the House of Representatives Chamber at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City. The Heinlein Society and other interested groups sponsored this project. Citizens are invited to attend the ceremony and will be seated in the House Gallery on the 4th Floor.
