On August 26, 2016 a Bates County Sheriff's Deputy took a report of a stolen Oats bus off of E Highway in Archie, MO. The victim had went outside to retrieve her phone from the bus around 8:30 the previous night. When she came out to leave around 6:30 the next morning the bus was gone.
A short time later that day Deputies recovered the stolen bus on AA Highway in Adrian, MO.
Detectives arrived on the scene and collected evidence from the bus. The victim was called to the scene.
She stated that nothing was missing or looked to be out of place or broken.
