Bed bugs unfairly getting a bad name

Red skin, itchy rash....poison ivy? No. Bed bugs? No. Most likely it's oak mites.

Never heard of them? This year, the oak mite infestation is getting to epidemic proportions. Simply being outside where the little buggers drop from trees and enjoy a tasty sample of your epidermis- leaves you with an itchy rash.

The experts say long sleeves and pants will help. Also showering and washing your clothes as soon as possible after coming inside will help, too.

As far as the rash goes, calamine lotion might help dry it up and a little Benadryl could give some relief. See your doctor if symptoms get worse...

In the meantime, lets patiently wait for an early frost so we can officially say goodbye to these and many other pests.
