Partners In Pastures to Meet October 24

On Monday, October 24, the Partners in Pasture grazing group will meet at the Morris and Bergman farms at 5 p.m. near Urich. Partners in Pasture is a group of livestock producers who meet at farms and discuss grazing management and economics. They meet every other month during the growing season. There will be a hayride tour of the pastures to look at weed control with herbicides, grazing and mowing. After returning at 6 p.m. there will be a discuss of those topics. The meeting ends with a potluck dinner. Hot dogs, buns, drinks and paper supplies will be provided. Bring a dish to share and folding chairs.

Directions are: From 18 highway at Ballard go north on BB highway 4.5 miles. Go right (east) on MM highway .5 miles. They are the first house on the south (right) side of the road. Big white bulk feeder says 70 Ranch. House is brick and log with big rock fire place. From 7 highway in Urich go south on K highway 2 miles out of town, turn west (right) onto MM highway. Go approximately 7 miles, house is on the south (left) side. If you get to BB highway you have gone too far. Watch for Extension signs!
