Update: Two from Pleasanton Kansas injured including 12 year old girl in accident yesterday near Ballard

Around 11:55am yesterday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriffs Deputies,Butler Fire Department and Bates County EMS responded to a one vehicle accident on Route D and Route BB in the Ballard Area of Bates County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2006 Ford Taurus driven by 42 year old Susan R. Parks of Pleasanton, Kansas failed to negotiate a curve and traveling off the roadway striking a ditch.

Susan R. Parks along with a passenger in her vehicle 12 year old Pamela A. Riley of Pleasanton, Kansas both sustained minor injuries in this accident and both were transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Don't Tow of Butler.
