Update: One seriously injured in Bates County crash east of Adrian

On 5/6/17 around 5:35pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies and Adrian Fire Department responded to a two vehicle crash on CR NE 1503 just South of Missouri 18 Highway east of Adrian.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 57 year old James G. Lawson of Adrian, Missouri was traveling southbound when the vision of both drivers were obscured by a dust cloud and Mr. Lawson struck the northbound 1987 Jeep Comanche driven by 16 year old Dalton J. Osborn of Adrian, Missouri in the front drivers side of the vehicle. The jeep traveled off the east side of the roadway and overturned.

Dalton J. Osborn sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by private vehicle to Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Missouri for treatment.

A passenger in Mr. Osborn's vehicle 19 year old Taalor S. Perkins of Adrian, Missouri sustained serious injures in this accident and he was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.

Both vehicle received extensive damages in this accident and both were towed from the scene by Johnson's Tow and Adrian Tow.
