Harrisonville High School names new principle

Congratulations and welcome to Mark Wiegers who will be the new principal at Harrisonville High School.

Mr. Wiegers comes to Harrisonville from Cameron High School where he has served as principal for three years. Prior to that he was the assistant principal for two years. 

He taught science and social studies for 16 years in the Warrensburg, North Kansas City, and Independence School Districts before going into administration.

Mr. Wiegers has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, and an education specialist degree in secondary administration from the University of Central Missouri.

He is a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals and he has served on the Board of Directors for the Cameron Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Wiegers is married to Angela and they have four children.

Mr. Wiegers will begin his duties on July 1. He replaces Jason Eggers who will be the new Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Operations.
