Robyn Eckhoff Joins Bates County Extension Staff

(Butler, Missouri—June 13, 2017)—The Bates County University Extension office announced today that Robyn Eckhoff has joined the staff as the 4-H Youth Program Associate. Eckhoff comes to the University Extension after retiring from a 29-year teaching/coaching career.

She began teaching business, marketing, and journalism in Cuba, Missouri, in 1988. Then in 2002, Eckhoff taught cooperative education and marketing at Rolla Technical institute, in Rolla, Missouri. In 2007, she began teaching in Montrose, Missouri, until she retired in May of 2017.

Eckhoff has served as a project leader for 13 years, both in Crawford County and Bates County, Missouri. For seven years, she served as the assistant club leader for the Hudson Hustlers 4-H Club. She was a 4-Her for six years in the Hudson Hustlers 4-H Club.

“I’m excited to see how Bates County 4-H is growing. Participation is the key. The more you do, the more you will get out of it and the more friends you will make. The youth of our communities will flourish as they complete hands-on projects and learn the necessary leadership skills to be productive citizens in our society,” stated Eckhoff.

The Bates County Extension office will be holding an open house on Monday, June 26, 2017, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Extension Office in the Bates County Courthouse.
