Its definitely going to heat up this weekend! High temps both Saturday and Sunday should climb into the lower to middle 90s across much of the area, with afternoon heat index values approaching 100 degrees, especially across northwest Missouri and far northeast Kansas.
If working outside or if competing athletically, please have a plan in place to seek cooler areas in an effort to help prevent heat illnesses.
