Update: Two injured in Henry County crash

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in the early afternoon of June 14 in Henry County on Highway 13, around 6 miles north of Clinton.

Victor Machado, 62, Houston, TX, wearing a seat belt, was operating a 2015 Kenworth which experienced a mechanical failure. 


The trailer in tow swerved across the center line into oncoming traffic. A 2007 Ford F-150 being operated southbound by James R. Walsh, 67, Clinton, wearing a seat belt, was struck by the Machado trailer in tow.

James R. Walsh experienced moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Hospital. His vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by Golden Valley Towing.

A passenger in the Walsh vehicle was injured. Sheila A. Walsh, 58, Clinton, wearing a seat belt, experienced moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Hospital.

The Kenworth operated by Machado had extensive damage and was removed from the scene by Golden Valley Towing. Victor Machado wasn't injured in this accident.
