UPDATE: Nixa man arrested in Vernon County after vehicle pursuit

 Jacob T Rawlings
A Nixa resident is in custody after running from Sheriff’s Deputies early Tuesday afternoon. According to Sheriff’s Office Officials, Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a wanted fugitive in Nevada when the driver failed to stop.

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said multiple deputies as well as the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the pursuit that headed north of Nevada. “The driver did not appear to know where he was going and at one point even turned down a dead-end road before driving through a yard to get back onto a road.” The sheriff said troopers and deputies had several intersections blocked off with spike strips, but the vehicle lost control and went into a ditch before reaching the road block.

The suspect has been identified as 26-year-old Jacob T Rawlings of Nixa Mo. Sheriff Mosher said Rawlings was wanted on two no-bond felony probation violation warrants. The Sheriff said additional charges may be filed once the investigation is complete.
