The Butler Police have been awarded 2 traffic enforcement grants. The first is the St Patrick's DWI Enforcement Campaign. Extra Officers will be on patrol the weekend of March 15-17 2013. This grant is to put extra officers on the road for DWI enforcement during the St Patrick’s day weekend.
The second grant is for Youth Seat belt Enforcement and runs from March 15 -31 2013. The Butler Police will conduct a checkpoint sometime during that time. Under the Graduated Driver’s License law teens are required to wear their seat belt as it’s a primary offense, meaning they can be pulled over solely for not wearing their seat belt.
