On 12/10/13 Sonic, in Butler, was burglarized overnight. On 12/17/13 the suspect, a 37 year old male Jerry Bearce Jr., was taken into custody. With the help of the Bates County Sheriff’s Office, Bearce confessed to the crime and most of the property was recovered. Bearce is being charged with burglary in the second degree along with theft and is currently incarcerated at the Bates County Jail.
