The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1999 Mercury driven by 16 year old Chadrick S. Looney of Rich Hill, Missouri veered off the left side of the roadway on a corner and struck the 1992 Chevrolet driven by 66 year old Edward W. Sneed of Hume, Missouri head on.
Mr. Sneed sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Both vehicle were totaled and towed from the scene.
