Judge Journey had taken the case under advisement after presiding over the bench trial that was held on August 29, 2017 at the Bates County Courthouse.
Mr. Shores a convicted sex offender was found guilty of 1.) 1st Degree Statutory Rape 2.) Companion Charges of Child Endangerment.
Bates County Prosecuting Attorney Hugh C. Jenkins represented the state in this case and Mr. Shores will remain in police custody until he is sentenced for his crimes on November 30, 2017.
