Skip was raised in the Holden, MO area and graduated from Holden High School. Following high school he worked in pipeline construction in Kansas until retiring at an early age due to disability. Skip resided in Schell City most of his life before moving to Nevada in 2017. He attended Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nevada.
Survivors include seven children, Kimberly Martin, Texas, Paul Rothenberger, Pleasanton, KS, Tracy Roberts, Ellsinore, MO, Jimmy Rothenberger, St. Louis, MO, Matthew Rothenberger, Ellsinore, MO, Tony Hillier, Ellsinore, MO, Monica O’Sullivan, Ellsinore, MO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four siblings, Vickie Norton, Schell City, MO, Mike Rothenberger and his wife Adelpha, Philippines, Connie Davis and her husband Larry, Schell City, MO, Kendall Rothenberger, Prescott, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services will be held at a later at Antioch Cemetery in Manilla, MO.
