Update: Wanted man in Belton homicide investigation arrested after police chase

In reference to the murder of Jeremy Kitscher in Belton on 4-20-2019. On 4-24-2019, Joshua Landon Hance was taken into custody by the Platte County Sheriff’s Office after a vehicle pursuit.

The Belton Police presented this case to the Cass County Prosecutor. The prosecutor’s office declined to file murder charges at this time.

The prosecutor’s office did charge Mr. Hance with one count of felon in possession of a firearm with a bond of $50,000.

Mr. Hance is still being held in the Platte County Jail on charges stemming from the vehicle pursuit.
