Two Arrested After Raid of Rural Nevada Home

According to Officials with the Sheriff’s Office, two Nevada residents were taken into custody after Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a residence on E. Nellie Rd in rural Nevada, MO on Tuesday afternoon. 

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said, “a female was located hiding in a closet and arrested for multiple Felony warrants out of Bates County, MO”. 

Suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was located during the search. The suspects have been identified as 36-year-old Codey Cummings, of Nevada and 33-year-old Julia Cummings, of Nevada. 

On Wednesday morning, warrants were issued by the Courts charging both Codey and Julia with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Both Codey and Julia are being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $50,000 cash only bond.
