Fire crews arrived on scene to find the residence full of smoke and were informed the occupant may still be in the home.
A sole resident of the home was located inside the residence and rescued from the home by fire crews.
The victim was transported by GVMH Ambulance crews to a Kansas City Regional hospital in critical condition.
