Willie “Bill” Joe Crusha passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at his home in Appleton City, Missouri, age 82. He was born February 26, 1938, near Lenora, Oklahoma, the son of Roy Allen and Mary Elizabeth (Benson) Crusha. Nevertheless, he was raised by his aunt and uncle, Virgil and Ruby Hilter. He graduated from Camargo High School in Camargo, Oklahoma in 1956. After the completion of his education, Bill moved to the Appleton City area in 1965. There he met and married Eva Eileene Stoddard on September 14, 1968, his wife of 52 years. To this union six children were born: Donnie, Wayne, Shawn, Gary, Kathy, and Amy.

Bill worked as a farm hand for Matt Alexander for more than 20 years. He was an entirely self-taught mechanic that enjoyed tinkering with small engines, rebuilding many lawn mowers. Bill was also an avid outdoorsman, who spent many happy hours hunting and fishing. Coaching his kids and grandkids in their sporting activities were some of Bill’s most cherished times. His family and especially his grandchildren were the light of his life and nothing was more important. Bill was a faithful and active member of the Church of God Holiness, where he lived out and shared his faith so long as he was able.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his aunt and uncle; 7 brothers, and two sisters.

Bill is survived by his wife, Eileene; four brothers; 6 children: Donnie (Anglea) Crusha, Wayne (Kathy) Crusha, Shawn (Billie) Crusha, Gary (Anna) Crusha, Kathy (Walt) Haddix, and Amy (John) Peterman; 17 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren; along with many extended family and dear friends.
