There will be a chance for late morning and afternoon showers and thunderstorms however, these will not be severe. As we move into tonight, thunderstorms are again expected to move into the area from the northwest. Storms are expected to move into areas of northeast Kansas and northwestern Missouri after 10PM with large hail, damaging winds and even an isolated tornado possible.
As these storms move southeast overnight, they are expected to develop into a line of storms as they move across Missouri with damaging winds becoming the main threat. In addition to the severe threat, localized flash flooding will be possible as 1 to locally 3 inches of rain is expected.
