Chuck was born July 21, 1961 to Charles Logan Feris and Edna Merle (Reynolds) Feris. He graduated from Adrian R-3 High School with the class of 1979.
He married Marilyn Morrow on July 14, 1990 at the Adrian United Methodist Church. He retired from his job at the City of Lee's Summit Water Utilities in March of 2022 due to his illness after 15 years as a laborer and equipment operator.
Chuck was raised on a farm west of Adrian, where he farmed with his father and worked some for his neighbor Dan Weeks. His love for cattle never left him as he raised Santa Gertrudis in his early years and he always had a love for Brahman Cattle. He enjoyed many years serving on the Bates County Fair Board in his early adult life.
His many loves were his family, especially his new grandbabies, CharLee and Bert; sitting on the patio with friends and family; enjoying the koi pond; working in the yard; evenings at the fire pit at the party hut that he built; doing carpentry; welding; traveling; and his cattle. He was a workaholic and he rarely sat down before the sun went down.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife of 33 years; a son, Taylor (Hannah) Logan Feris, and their daughter, CharLee Anne Feris, of Jonesburg, MO; a daughter, Ali (Kyle) Rissa Niehaus, and their son, Bert Briscoe Niehaus, of Adrian, MO; his sister, Mary (Richard) Ladone Hettinger, of Cape Girardeau, MO; many nieces, nephews, great and great-great; his sisters-in-law: Carolyn Morrow and DonNeta Disselhoff both of Adrian, MO; Sue Pulliam of Harrisonville, MO; Dessa (Chester) Taylor of Alton, MO; Wilma Ramage of Morro Bay, CA; her brothers-in-law: Gary Callahan of Murray, KY; and Jim Nelson of Kansas City, MO.
