Your cooperation is appreciated...

The Bates County Commission and the Office of Emergency Management highly recommend that the citizens of Bates County refrain from setting any fires until Bates County receives adequate moisture.

The Commission also request that extreme caution be observed when enjoying fireworks at family Independence Day celebrations.

Have a pleasurable and safe holiday.
