50 animals removed from Butler home

Jean Karolat
Officials converged on the property of Jean Karolat today and removed some 50 animals, mostly dogs. According to information received by Bates County live, Karolet had been warned earlier this month to find homes for the overcrowded animals or face jail time.
In an interview with Fox 4 News on January 24th, Karolat contends that she is not an animal hoarder, but simply wanted to help find homes for them and the animal shelters she had contacted were no help.

Charges against Karolat are pending at this time; we will provide more information on this story as it develops.
