Special report from the Bates County Sheriff's Department

On 3/28/11 at approximately 3pm the Bates County Sheriff’s Office received information from the Prosecutor’s Office of a subject that had made death threats toward the Prosecutor.  The Sheriff’s Office began to attempt to locate the subject, identified as Timber Corral of Butler.  Corral was allegedly upset over being prosecuted over a sex crime.  Corral was located around 8pm by the Sheriff’s Office in a residence in Butler and was arrested for tampering with a judicial officer and warrants were issued to revoke his probation on his convictions for the sex crimes.  Corral remains in custody.

On 3/31/11 Bates County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a citizen stating they had information about a plot to kill several law enforcement related individuals over the prosecution of a drug case.  After an investigation into the allegations, the Bates County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Michael Mousheke of Rich Hill had contacted several people in an attempt to purchase a firearm.  Mousheke is prohibited from owning a firearm by statute because of a previous felony conviction.  On 3/31/11 Micheal Mousheke was arrested and charged with tampering with a judicial officer and remains in custody.

Mousheke was upset over his wife’s prior arrest and incarceration.  Carol Mousheke was arrested on 12-27-10 when she sold narcotics to an undercover taskforce agent.  Carol Mousheke was arrested for distribution of a controlled substance and later was released on bond.  After her release Carol Mousheke unwittingly began calling the taskforce agent not realizing that he was a law enforcement officer.  During the calls Carol Mousheke threatened to have someone kill the taskforce agent for his part in her arrest.   On 1/25/11  Carol Mousheke was re-arrested and charged with tampering with a judicial officer and remains in custody.

Michael Mousheke was going to target the Judge Hopkins, Prosecutor Hugh Jenkins, Rich Hill Marshal Clinton Leer, Detective Will Perryman, Chief Deputy Justin Moreland, and anyone else that was associated with his wife’s case.
